Grief and Loss
Doctors Hospice offers an organized program of bereavement support. The bereavement needs of the patient’s primary care giver are assessed by the nurse, social worker and chaplain within the first five days of the patient’s hospice admission. These plans may be updated during the patient’s stay on hospice. After the patient dies, the bereavement coordinator will follow up with the primary care giver, family and friends whose addresses have been captured.
Please use these valuable resources for assistance with your grief journey. For additional support please call Doctors Hospice and ask for your bereavement coordinators.
